The 50th Anniversary Price-Bullington Invitational has been postponed for COVID-19 reasons. This once in a life time event will be held one of the two last weekends in October 2021! Please stay tuned, Ted & Winston Price, Tournament Co-Directors.
The 49th Annual Price-Bullington Invitational (“P-BI”) will take place over the weekend of October 25 - 27 at The County Club of Virginia in Richmond. This historic tournament features a full draw of 8 women and 16 men with invitations extended to many of the highest ranked players in the College Squash Association. Representing the best college squash players in the country many P-BI Champions have often gone on to become the US National Champions.
Net proceeds go to VSRA's inner-city squash programs so please consider making a donation to the P-BI via our website at https://vasquash.com/pbi/. Of course the P-BI is open to the public as well so plan to attend and watch these top college squash players battle against each other.

Youth Squash in Africa
On behalf of VSRA and the broader squash community in Virginia Patrick Chifunda, squash professional at The Country Club of Virginia, hand delivered 16 racquets and pairs of eye wear to junior players at Mufulira Squash Club in Zambia, Africa. Patrick was born in Zambia and grew up playing squash at Mufulira. According to Patrick it has been over 30 years since the kids at Mufulira have had new racquets and eye wear with the donation bringing joy, excitement, and happiness. The Club Coach and Chairman of Mufulira also confirmed that the kids and coaches were deeply touched by the donation. Truly our pleasure!!!!!
River City Community Squash ("RCCS")
The mission of RCCS is to introduce the sport of squash to children and adults who do not otherwise have access to play. Our program is innovative, inclusive and intentionally diverse, currently providing children ranging between the ages of 10 and 18 with court access, squash racquets, equipment, and on-court coaching at no cost where possible! Once they become enthusiasts RCCS looks forward to placing these children within thriving squash programs in our area such as VSRA’s SquashRocks!, the YMCA Squash Center’s programs, and other local clubs.
Founded in 2018, RCCS hit the ground running on the heels of VSRA’s successful funding and construction of three new squash courts at the Downtown YMCA in Richmond, Virginia. Incremental funding through donations has allowed RCCS to reach more than 50 children with over 400 on-court per-person coaching hours to date and a near-term goal of expanding this outreach to 100+ children in a year. Further, RCCS, in conjunction with VSRA and the Rappahannock YMCA, is partnering in Fredericksburg, Virginia for “Fredericksburg Squash 2019.” Our fundraising target for this initiative stands at 33% of its goal and will hopefully see us have another new squash court constructed in Virginia to extend the reach of our innovative programming by year-end!
RCCS is led by its program director John Patton, a US Squash certified teaching professional, head coach of the College of William & Mary Club Squash, and Squash Director at the YMCA Squash Center in Richmond VA.
Support the RCCS Operating Budget!!! Because we use volunteers and donated equipment where possible, our cost to deliver our program is leveraged and very cost-effective. We need your financial support to help us continue to deliver this programming. If you would like to help us reach our 2019 fundraising goal of $10,000 and reach over 100 children, please e-mail John at JSPattonJr@GMail.com or make a donation vis the VSRA website at https://vasquash.com/va-squash-general-donations-form/. It is worth noting we have a matching pledge of $1,000 awaiting your support. Thank you!!!
